The ASHA Office of Multicultural Affairs is grateful for the L’GASP-GLBTQ Caucus’ continued support and work to educate ASHA members-both current and future, and provide them with information and resources to increase their cultural competence. We know that it is only with your support that we’ve been able to make significant strides in increasing appropriate service delivery to individuals from diverse backgrounds; and it’s with your assistance that we’re continuing that mission. In that spirit, we have declared you Partners in Infusion! We would like to provide your groups’ leaders and/or members with Partners in Infusion pins to wear at this year’s ASHA Convention. These pins will serve to symbolize your role in working with us to expand the attention and effort given to multicultural issues and populations. That partnership is an important component of our success and our vigilance to make a difference in the lives of all of the individuals ASHA members serve.
Please make sure to “pin” your leaders and active members who’ll be present in Philadelphia. We’re hoping that the pins will also be conversation starters and will give you a chance to spread the word further, about the good work you do in support of ASHA members.
Again, thank you for all you to do help us help ASHA members and individuals with communication and related disorders!
